Grabbing a bite at a good food truck is one of those things that isn’t appreciated enough. You know that moment when you take a bite and realize this is exactly what you’ve been craving? Now multiply that moment by 35 different food vendor options. That’s what’s coming to Surrey this April.

The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival is returning to the Cloverdale Exhibition Grounds from April 11-13, bringing a full schedule of must-try food, local vendors, and live entertainment. Whether you’re looking for things to do in Surrey as a visitor or a resident, this is your best chance to sample some of the finest street food in BC in one location. And the fun part? You get to vote for which food truck should take the crown of best food truck. Let the Food Truck Wars begin.

With 35 local food truck vendors serving their signature items and exclusive dishes made just for the competition, you’ll have plenty to choose from. This includes vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options—there’s something for everyone. As you snack your way through the festival, don’t forget to cast your vote for your favourite truck using the QR codes posted around the site. 

But this festival isn’t just a showcase of great-tasting food. It’s about celebrating local businesses and community connections. Beyond the trucks is the BC Shop Local market, where you can find one-of-a-kind, handmade items. Live music will rock the main stage, along with their first-ever Street Dogs Hot Dog Eating Contest, which will take place on April 12 at 2 PM on the festival grounds. There’s also a special zone for kids and a beverage garden serving delicious drinks. Even your pets are welcome, with some vendors handing out free snacks to your furry friends.
