The countdown to the end of summer may have started, but it’s not time to put away those flip-flops and sunglasses just yet! Hot days and warm August nights are the perfect time to get out into Surrey’s natural beauty and celebrate with family and friends.
August 24 & 25
Gabriel Farms (18507 20th Avenue)
Summer Farm Days are back at Gabriel Farms (Hazelmere Pumpkin Patch). Fun for the whole family. Stroll Sunflower Lane, a 600′ lane with sunflowers on both sides for the perfect family photo. Wander through the mini corn maze and visit the very friendly goat family. Hop on a wagon ride and let your imagination run wild in the play area. Open August 24 & 25 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm Admission is $10.00 per person (2yrs +)
Battle of the Brews
August 17
Surrey Civic Plaza
The Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society and 93.7 JR Country are hosting the 6th Annual Battle of the Brews on Saturday, August 17 at Surrey City Hall Plaza from 1-5 pm. This fun charity event will offer attendees a great afternoon of craft beer tasting, food trucks and live music from JR Country artist Tony Stevens. And all proceeds from the event will help fund Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society youth initiatives.
Play On! Surrey
August 17 & 18
Cloverdale
Ball hockey is about to take over the streets of Surrey! On August 17 and 18 Play On! Canada, Canada’s largest street hockey festival will be in Cloverdale for an epic weekend of ball hockey! Be sure to check it out and cheer for your favourite teams!
Sounds of Summer

The sweet sounds of live and local music will be wafting through the fresh air in Surrey’s parks and plazas each and every Wednesday evening, this summer. With genres ranging from R&B and Rock to Indigenous music and everything in between, there’s a free concert for all types of music genres. Bring your own chair or blanket, let the music move you and dance all night long! Surrey Afro-Caribbean Cultural SummerFest
August 24 & 25

Immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Afro-Caribbean culture at the Surrey Afro-Caribbean Summerfest! This vibrant festival features headlining performances by Rupee from Barbados, known for his soca and reggae hits, and soca artist Shurwayne Winchester from Trinidad and Tobago. Enjoy a diverse lineup of local artists, Samba fusion groups, and various bands. Enjoy delicious dishes from food vendors and explore unique items from local businesses. It’s a great opportunity to support the community and enjoy a fun day out. Everyone is welcome to join this celebration of vibrant music and culture.

Totest Aleng: Indigenous Learning House Open House
Created for Indigenous cultural and artistic practices in Surrey, the enclosed artist studio is dedicated to artists-in-residences, large-scale projects, and hands-on learning programs. Visit every Saturday afternoon this summer as they open the studio doors to visitors! Tour the dioramas and models hand-made by archaeologist Don Welsh, while the kids are engaged in hands-on activities.
Farmers Markets
With the warmer months come Surrey’s bounty of fresh local produce just waiting to be devoured. After all, 30% of Surrey’s land is dedicated to agriculture and committed to local food growing. So it’s no surprise that there are a variety of Farmers’ Markets and farm stores peppered across the city where you can pick and choose your weekly produce pickup.
